Bridge Pathway Application

Apply for IEOLCA Certification
Through the Bridge Pathway.

You have already invested in your end-of-life doula education. The IEOLCA Bridge Pathway to End-of-Life Doula Certification allows you to bring that training forward and demonstrate your readiness for the IEOLCA Certified End-of-Life Doula credential.

Tell us about your previous training and upload your certificate or other documentation below. After submitting your application, you will continue to the secure payment page and receive immediate access to the pathway following payment.

Before you begin

  • You have completed a comprehensive end-of-life doula or death doula training program involving at least 30 hours of structured instruction, guided coursework, or supervised practical learning.
  • You will need to attach a certificate or other documentation showing completion of your prior training.
  • After submitting your application, you will continue to the secure payment page to complete the one-time $149 USD certification fee.
  • After payment, you will receive immediate, self-paced access to the 12 Competency Preparation Guides and certification requirements.
  • The pathway includes a 60-question Competency Assessment plus three detailed case studies, along with the IEOLCA Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice.

Questions about your eligibility? If you are unsure whether your previous training qualifies, please contact us at office@ieolca.org before applying. We are happy to review the general details of your training and help you determine whether it meets the 30-hour minimum and provides an appropriate foundation for the pathway.

If we have questions after you apply, we will contact you within 24 hours if we require additional information or clarification about your certificate or prior training. You do not need to wait for this review before beginning the pathway. If we are unable to accept your previous training, your $149 USD certification fee will be fully refunded.

Please include the name of the organization, school, program, or teacher, along with the approximate number of training hours. Eligible programs must include at least 30 hours of structured instruction, guided coursework, or supervised practical learning.

Payment provides access to the Bridge Pathway and does not itself grant certification. The IEOLCA Certified End-of-Life Doula credential and Digital IEOLCA Certified End-of-Life Doula badge are issued once all pathway requirements have been completed and the required competencies have been demonstrated.
