Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be IEOLCA-trained to be listed?
No. The directory is open to doulas trained through recognized end-of-life care programs, including IEOLCA and other reputable institutions. If your program is not listed above, you are still welcome to apply and we will review your training individually.
Is there a cost to be listed in the directory?
No. Approved directory listings are free and include a professional profile with your photo, bio, training, areas of focus, availability, and contact information.
What if I am still completing my training?
You are welcome to apply. Your listing can indicate that your training is in progress, and your availability can reflect where you are in your practice.
I serve clients virtually. Can I be listed if I am outside North America?
Yes. The directory welcomes doulas from all countries. Your listing can show your location and virtual availability.
Can I update my listing after it goes live?
Yes. Email office@ieolca.org with your updated information and we will make the changes within a few business days.
Does a listing mean IEOLCA endorses my individual practice?
No. Directory listings are intended to help families find trained, non-medical end-of-life doula support. Each doula is responsible for working within their own training, scope of practice, experience, and local regulations. Inclusion does not replace a family’s own conversation and decision-making process.
