Mentorship for Doulas.
Sometimes you do not need a full course. You just need a focused conversation, a trusted sounding board, and gentle guidance on your next step.
Who This Is For.
Our mentorship sessions are for aspiring doulas, current students, trained doulas, and compassionate care companions who want practical support, thoughtful feedback, and a place to talk through real questions.
Students Seeking Clarity
If you are moving through training and want help understanding scope, confidence, language, or next steps, mentorship can help you feel more grounded.
Trained Doulas Building Practice
If you are shaping your services, navigating pricing, preparing for client work, or refining your approach, we are here to support that process.
People Exploring the Field
If you feel called to this work and want an honest conversation before committing to a larger program, mentorship offers a simple place to begin.
What We Can Support You With.
Mentorship sessions are offered by phone or Zoom and can be used for a range of questions, including:
- understanding the role of the end-of-life doula
- talking through real client situations in an ethical, non-clinical way
- building confidence in conversations about death, dying, grief, and planning
- exploring how to begin offering doula services in your community
- reviewing service ideas, next steps, or professional direction
- getting guidance as a student who wants a little extra support
We approach this work through the lens of the Platinum Rule: treat others as they wish to be treated. Our goal is not to rush you, but to help you move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and intention.

Why Mentorship Matters.
Doula work asks a great deal of the heart. Sometimes what helps most is a conversation with someone who understands the field, can reflect back what they hear, and can help you find your next clear step. Mentorship offers space for that.
Mentorship FAQ.
Do I need to be an IEOLCA student to book mentorship?
No. These sessions are open to IEOLCA students, trained doulas from other programs, and people who are exploring this path and want guidance.
How are sessions offered?
Sessions are available by phone or Zoom, depending on what feels most comfortable and practical for you.
Can I book more than one session?
Yes. Some people book a single focused conversation, while others return as questions arise or as their work continues to develop.
Is mentorship the same as counselling or clinical supervision?
No. Mentorship is educational, reflective, and practice-based. It is not therapy, counselling, legal advice, or clinical supervision.
